Six Years Old

Today my baby turns six.  SIX!  It sounds so cliche to say, but I really can't believe how fast the time has flown by.

Eli is an absolute joy to us, every single day.  His tender heart, goofy sense of humor, vivid imagination, and genuine care for others are daily blessings.

We have seen Eli grow so much this past year in kindergarten.  We are amazed at what he has learned and love seeing him grow and change.  He is also the only kindergartener I have ever known to be able to recite the names of every single United States president in order.  :)  Eli loves to learn, and we love that about him!

Eli loves being outside more than anything in the world.  The second he comes home from school, he is out the door and playing outside with his beloved cousin Timothy.  He loves to play soccer and baseball, loves to camp and fish, loves to build forts and roads anything else he and Timothy think up together.  He also loves to read and loves to make little "crafts."  It's so fun to hear him read and to see all the drawings and projects he makes for us.

I could go on and on about my precious boy, but I'll keep this short.  Eli is the most precious gift we have ever been given, and we are so very honored to be his parents.  We celebrate him this weekend with thankfulness and joy.

Happy, happy birthday, Eli Dane!  We love you with all our hearts.
