October 2021

October so quickly came and went!  Here are a few pictures from the month...

The biggest event of the month was our family trip to Daingerfield, and I really don't have many pictures of much else!  :)  The trip was a blast.  The weather was perfect, and we all enjoyed the time together to play, hike, fish, and relax.

We got home from the trip on Halloween, so we carved a pumpkin, ate pizza, and enjoyed handing out candy while watching the World Series game.

And that concludes our month.  We're excited for the upcoming holidays!  Love to you!

September 2021

Happy fall!  Here are a few pictures from September.

We took a long weekend trip to Lake Travis (outside Austin) at the beginning of the month.  We stayed at a little house right on the lake.  Eric and Eli did a lot of fishing, I did a lot of reading, and we just enjoyed spending lots of time outside together.

PERFECT spot to read (while Eric and Eli fish on the dock below)!

Good food is a part of any good vacation!  This is the Oasis...

They bought an underwater light so that they could sit on the dock and fish at night.  There were fireworks on the other side of the lake that evening, too!

We enjoyed paddle boarding...

And more good food...

More fishing...

And more reading!  :)  The house had all these great little outdoor spots to sit and enjoy the sunrise/sunset/a good book/a cup of coffee.

We had the best, most restful weekend.  It was a great way to cap off the summer.

We all enjoyed going to a Forney High School football game to see Jacey play in the band!

And we took Jacey, Cooper, and CJ with us to the Texas State Fair and had a blast riding rides, eating fair food, and just walking around and taking it all in.  This is one of my favorite fall traditions.

That's Eli and Jacey up there at the top!  They all rode some super scary rides!

And that concludes September.  Love to you!!

August 2021

Though I always love the transition to fall, I hate saying goodbye to summer!  August was a pretty relaxed few weeks leading up to the start of school, and now we are fully in it.  :)  Here are a few pictures from the month...

Elizabeth and I went to see Wicked at the Fair Park Music Hall.  We've seen the show several times together before, and it's become our tradition.  We so enjoyed dinner at the fancy place there and then watching our FAVORITE show together!

And almost all of the rest of the pictures are of fishing.  :)  This is Eric's and Eli's favorite hobby, and they spend many, many hours fishing together.

They know all the sizes/weights of all of these fish, but I have no idea.  :)  Big fish!

Eli got a Tomato Frog!  His collection of pets is growing...

And, of course, the big event of August was Eli starting 8th grade at PCCS.  We were a bit nervous about this year, but we have been praying about it so much, and I'm so thankful to say that the Lord has answered our prayers for a smooth start and His presence all along the way.

We are SO PROUD of our boy and the ways he is growing in his walk with the Lord and living it out even when it's tough.

And now on to the fall!  Love to you!

July 2021

Alrighty...  here's July!  These are, as always, supremely out of order, but oh well.  :)

Kelly and I took the Eli, Timothy, Charlie, Cooper, and Corban and Emmett Howard to Burger's Lake for the day.  We had a blast!  I love this annual tradition.

Here's Eli on the trapeze...

All the boys...

And the SUPER high dive...

Earlier in the month, Elizabeth and I took CJ and Eli to Surf-n-Swim (a wave pool), which we've been doing together since the boys were toddlers.  Again, I love this summer tradition!

Eric and Eli took the boat to Purdis Creek to fish one day this month.

My dad's parents came to visit Texas for the first time in years!  It was SO GOOD to see them, and we had a wonderful time.  We're super excited to see my Mom's parents next month as well!

Eli caught his biggest bass ever this month- just over 5 pounds.  He was THRILLED!

Kelly and I took our boys and Cooper to Hawaiian Falls.

And now we've wound our way all the way back to the beginning of the month...  July 4th.  We had a picnic over the weekend with the family and some friends from church, and then we just enjoyed a day off of work on the 4th.  That evening, we did sparklers and a few small fireworks in the backyard, which I always love.

My one picture from the picnic- the boys and CJ.

And that's July!  LOVE to you!!
