November 2021

And just like that November is over...  hard to believe.  Here are a few pictures from our month, out of order as usual...

The boys built a bike path in the woods behind our back fence, complete with a ramp jump and a bridge.  :)  I love it when they do projects like this together.

So these are just entirely backwards, because this should really be the LAST picture of the month...  our decorated Christmas tree.  :)

And the actual purchase of the tree, which obviously preceded the decorating...  no more talking about it.  These are just backwards!  :)

Cousins in Christmas jammies on Thanksgiving night.

Our gang for Thanksgiving.  We were so thankful to have our grandparents here with us to celebrate!  We so enjoyed the time together.

Thanksgiving morning before going to Uncle Albert and Aunt Kathy's house- he is on his tiptoes to be as tall as me.  It won't be long now, and he does not have far to go.  :)

On the night before Thanksgiving, it's our tradition to have our own little fancy Thanksgiving meal and watch "Elf" together.

Here's the building of the afore-mentioned bike path.

The boys decorated "their tree," which is their annual tradition.

The youth group had a lock-in this month, and Eli and Cooper stayed up ALL NIGHT.  This is 7pm on the following night after dinner.  :)

The completed "Boys' Tree!"

I can't stop taking pictures of beautiful fall leaves!

Baseball in the field behind our house in the gorgeous fall light.

Breakfast out with my boy!  I love little "dates" like this with him.

My mom bought Hank a sweater.  :)

And that winds us all the way back to beginning of November.  :)

Love and blessings to you all, as we head into the Christmas season!

October 2021

October so quickly came and went!  Here are a few pictures from the month...

The biggest event of the month was our family trip to Daingerfield, and I really don't have many pictures of much else!  :)  The trip was a blast.  The weather was perfect, and we all enjoyed the time together to play, hike, fish, and relax.

We got home from the trip on Halloween, so we carved a pumpkin, ate pizza, and enjoyed handing out candy while watching the World Series game.

And that concludes our month.  We're excited for the upcoming holidays!  Love to you!

September 2021

Happy fall!  Here are a few pictures from September.

We took a long weekend trip to Lake Travis (outside Austin) at the beginning of the month.  We stayed at a little house right on the lake.  Eric and Eli did a lot of fishing, I did a lot of reading, and we just enjoyed spending lots of time outside together.

PERFECT spot to read (while Eric and Eli fish on the dock below)!

Good food is a part of any good vacation!  This is the Oasis...

They bought an underwater light so that they could sit on the dock and fish at night.  There were fireworks on the other side of the lake that evening, too!

We enjoyed paddle boarding...

And more good food...

More fishing...

And more reading!  :)  The house had all these great little outdoor spots to sit and enjoy the sunrise/sunset/a good book/a cup of coffee.

We had the best, most restful weekend.  It was a great way to cap off the summer.

We all enjoyed going to a Forney High School football game to see Jacey play in the band!

And we took Jacey, Cooper, and CJ with us to the Texas State Fair and had a blast riding rides, eating fair food, and just walking around and taking it all in.  This is one of my favorite fall traditions.

That's Eli and Jacey up there at the top!  They all rode some super scary rides!

And that concludes September.  Love to you!!
