These are all out of order, but here goes anyway! :)
Eli went to soccer camp at church this week and won a Ronoldo jersey for being the most "relentless" player at camp. ("Relentless" is a good thing in this case! The camp's theme was "relentless"- the continual pursuit of and courage to stand up for Christ.) The jersey is WHITE, which is the LAST color Eli should ever be wearing. :) But he looks so cute in it! :)
My grandparents came for a visit this last week, and we so enjoyed spending time with them!
We celebrated Eric's birthday a little early, since Eli and I were in Disney World on his actual birthday.
Eli was SO excited to give Eric his gifts, for which he had so generously given so much of his own money.
At the beginning of June, the Mannings came for a visit. We so enjoyed the time with them and their two foster kids, Ava and Eli.
The BIG event of June was the Eli and I went to Disney World with our friends Elizabeth and CJ! We had a BLAST!! Here are Eli and CJ inside the giant football helmet at our sports-themed resort.
On the night we arrived, we explored Disney Springs and had dinner at a dinosaur-themed restaurant.
Dessert was this volcano thing complete with dry ice- very impressive. :)
This picture just makes me laugh. :)
Day one was Magic Kingdom!
The famous castle!
Our first "big ride" was Space Mountain- it was super scary and fun! Eli loved it.
Parade-watching...
Snack-eating... Where else but Disney does a giant ice cream/cookie sandwich count as an afternoon snack? :)
More parade-watching...
Splash Mountain! At this point it was POURING rain (thus the ponchos), so all I cared about was not getting MORE went than I already was! :)
Day two was Animal Kingdom. On our first "ride" we went on a "safari tour," and I have never seen such awesome animals so up-close! It was amazing!!
Eating a snack and waiting for our next activity...
Cutesy photo op. :)
I forget what this one was called- a dinosaur ride of some sort that was really fun. I love Eli's face, and the fact that CJ is ducking down completely. :)
Expedition Everest is maybe the scariest roller coaster at Disney? Three out of the four of us LOVED it (CJ not included :) ).
Our group for the week- such great friends!
Riding Everest again- it was that good! Look at Eli's face! :) And the fact that CJ is, again, ducking completely down. :)
Back at the hotel for swimming and playing...
That night we went back to the Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks, which were AMAZING.
I'll never forget that night with Eli! It truly was magical.
Day three was Epcot, which included the second largest salt water aquarium in the US- super cool!!
"Test Track" was the ride Eli and CJ wanted to ride the most, and it lived up to the hype for sure! Something like 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds? Crazy!
Epcot!
Aquarium!
Test Track! :)
We got to eat at the coolest places there, including this restaurant that gave the boys "decorate your own sugar cookies" for dessert.
Day four was Hollywood Studios, including the Tower of Terror, which we all loved.
Though the boys really aren't into the Disney characters, they got into a "character lunch" at another super-good restaurant.
The Tower of Terror!
I LOVE him! He was a JOY the entire week- so sweet, thankful, helpful... he made the whole week so wonderful.
This is so hard to see in the picture, but we saw an AMAZING light show one night at Hollywood Studios!
On our last day we went to Blizzard Beach, a Disney water park with a "winter theme." It was super fun, and a great way to wrap up our trip.
In the lazy river...
The next day we flew home, and the city had a big "Sizzle Fest" for summer, including fireworks and mud volleyball, which the boys thoroughly enjoyed. :)
And that was June! Sorry for the picture overload! :)
